Laundry Supervisor
Oversee daily laundry operations, staff, and equipment to ensure efficient, high-volume processing of linens and garments. Key responsibilities include scheduling, training, and evaluating staff, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, managing inventory, reporting any machinery issues, and ensuring quality control.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assigns, reviews, and evaluates staff performance; coaches, trains, and disciplines employees; manages schedules.
  • Controls the workflow of high-volume laundry, ensuring timely completion of duties.
  • Ensures proper sanitation, adheres to safety/health regulations (e.g., bloodborne pathogen standards), and maintains high-quality standards.
  • Inspects washers, dryers, performs minor repairs and reports major breakdowns to VP of Operations and General Manager.
  • Manages supplies, including chemical inventory and linen requisitions.
  • Maintains records, reports, and assists with budget management.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Requires 3-5 years of laundry experience with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Deep understanding of laundry processes, washing formulas, and chemical handling.
  • Strong leadership, communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Work safely, following proper procedures when using chemical agents and ensure that laundry staff follow these procedures and are trained accordingly
  • Routinely perform daily laundry duties for Resort and Spa
  • Ensure that the facility is clean of debris, mopped daily
  • Establish cleaning schedules and ensure that the schedules are followed by housekeeping staff
  • Operate and maintain washing machines, extractors, mangles, and presses
  • Monitor Inventory of cleaning supplies, terry, and linen
  • Shift Supervisor will be part of the laundry team to wash Resort & Spa linen and terry
  • Controlling workflow by coordinating work assignments with laundry manager or assistant
  • Assigns staff to complete the activities needed for the day
  • Turn in proper DWR's on weekly basis
  • Turn in laundry weights on weekly basis
  • Ensure proper number of bags are made daily for delivery to the Resort and Spa.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for a large periods of the day
