About the Role

As Senior Manager, Brand Strategy, you will lead efforts that drive brand clarity and customer relevance for Kohl's and its proprietary brand portfolio. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to establish impactful brand positionings, identities and marketing strategies that increase consideration to shop Kohl's.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of Kohl's & proprietary brand strategies that align with customer needs, market trends and business objectives

  • Lead strategic forums bringing together senior leaders from merchandising, design and marketing to align on direction and execution for our proprietary brand portfolio

  • Own and evolve Kohl's private brand portfolio architecture

  • Build a comprehensive private brand marketing roadmap that informs go-to-market strategies for both marketing and merchandising teams

  • Develop creative briefs that build a strong brand identity for Kohl's and its brands, including distinctive brand assets that increase awareness and attribution

  • Create presentations for executive audiences that communicate brand strategy opportunities and recommendations

  • Independently drive initiatives and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Monitor brand performance and synthesize insights to inform continuous improvement

  • Stay current with competitive positioning efforts and understand shifts and white space opportunities

  • Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of marketing experience

  • Strong grasp of brand strategy principles

  • Retail industry knowledge

Preferred

  • 10+ years of marketing experience with brand strategy, brand positioning and brand management strongly preferred

  • Agency or consultant experience

  • Experience working with product design teams
