Job description

The Marketing and Sales Director at Six Flags Over Texas provides strategic leadership across the park’s marketing, communications, public relations, social media and sales functions, leading integrated strategies that drive attendance, admissions revenue and overall park EBITDA. Working closely with the Park President and Support Center partners, this role identifies new opportunities to grow the business, strengthen Six Flags Over Texas's brand and reputation, engage audiences and elevate the guest experience.


How You'll Make A Difference:

Lead the development and execution of Six Flags Over Texas's annual marketing strategy, including ticket sales, season pass programs, communications, and promotional initiatives that drive attendance, admissions revenue, and EBITDA. 

Lead Six Flags Over Texas's public relations, communications, social media and content strategies in collaboration with the regional Support Center, leveraging compelling storytelling, earned media and owned channels to build brand relevance, engage audiences, support major attractions and events, and strengthen the park’s reputation.

Develop, present, and communicate annual strategic marketing plans, roadmaps, and integrated marketing campaigns to Support Center stakeholders and executive leadership. 

Lead, coach, and develop the park's marketing and sales teams, fostering a high-performing culture focused on innovation, collaboration, and measurable business results. 

Partner with Support Center teams to identify and deliver new sources of attendance and revenue growth through integrated marketing, pricing and promotional strategies, consumer products, ticket partnerships, special events and group sales initiatives.

Oversee the park's brand strategy, advertising, creative development, and media planning in partnership with the Support Center and agency partners. 

Lead annual pricing strategy and admission product recommendations in collaboration with the Revenue Management team. 

Monitor business performance through forecasting, reporting, and trend analysis. Recommend timely strategies and tactical adjustments based on trending results. 

Serve as a strategic advisor to the Park President by identifying opportunities for new attractions, guest experiences, products, and marketing initiatives based on consumer insights and market trends. 

Negotiate and execute strategic partnerships, sponsorships, promotional campaigns, and guest experience initiatives that support the park's business objectives. 

Manage admissions revenue and oversee marketing, advertising, and labor budgets, ensuring strong financial stewardship. 

Represent Six Flags Over Texas within the tourism, hospitality, and attractions industries by building relationships with community organizations, destination marketing partners, and regional stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

•Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field. 
•10+ years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, sales, or a related discipline. 
•Strong leadership, communication, presentation, analytical, and financial planning skills. 
•Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans, influence senior leaders, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business results.
•Demonstrated leadership experience across multiple disciplines, including brand marketing, public relations, social media, content, partnerships and sales, with a track  record of developing integrated strategies that deliver measurable business results.
•High level of initiative, sound judgment, and strategic thinking. 
•Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders. 
•Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and effectively working with people from all backgrounds and cultures.
•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with particular expertise in Excel and PowerPoint. 

Qualifications & Experience Preferred:


•Experience leading marketing and sales strategies within a destination resort, attractions, hospitality, entertainment, or tourism environment is strongly preferred.
