Our Commissary/Core locations serve as the culinary engine behind our brand, producing high-quality, consistent food at scale. We're looking for a Culinary Operations Manager to help lead our commissary kitchen team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, strong administrative execution, and consistent culinary standards.

The Culinary Operations Manager works in close partnership with the CDC to run all aspects of the commissary kitchen. As the Culinary Operations Manager, you will own the day-to-day administrative and operational execution that keeps the commissary running efficiently. Both leaders share responsibility for the team's development and the quality of what goes out the door.

Requirements:

  • As a part of our management, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation
  • Manage day-to-day administrative operations, including inventory levels, place and track supply orders, and manage food costs to stay within budgetary targets while minimizing waste
  • Oversee scheduling, labor management, and other operational logistics
  • Support implementation and enforcement of health and safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • Partner with the CDC on process improvements and day-to-day problem-solving
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to consistently deliver top-quality dishes
  • Ensure recipe adherence, portion control, and consistent quality execution
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance across the commissary
  • Foster a positive, collaborative working environment and open communication among staff
  • Coach and develop the kitchen team, including training and developing shift leads
  • Step in to lead kitchen operations in the CDC's absence

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in a commissary, high-volume kitchen, or similar production kitchen environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize administrative and operational tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations
  • Comfort with inventory systems, ordering platforms, and operational software (e.g., Cogswell)
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and inventory management
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with the CDC, team members, and other departments
  • Leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Bonus potential
  • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • 401k match
  • Annual cell phone reimbursement
  • Employee discount.
  • Opportunity to build and work in a dynamic and innovative environment.
  • A chance to make a meaningful impact on a rapidly growing brand.
