About the position
KA is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) with strong Experience in the Commercial vehicle market and the agriculture sector. This role serves as the primary commercial contact between Kongsberg Automotive and its key automotive customers, ensuring strong partnerships while identifying opportunities to expand business. KAM develops long-term customer strategies, leads commercial negotiations, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to deliver value to customers and support the company's growth objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary commercial interface between Kongsberg Automotive and key customer accounts by taking ownership of strategic business development and long-term relationship management.
  • Drive sustainable, profitable growth by identifying new business opportunities and developing customer-centric strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across R&D, operations, finance, and purchasing to ensure the execution of strategic business objectives.
  • Represent the customers' interests within the organization by translating market and customer insights into actionable commercial initiatives, supporting Kongsberg Automotive's long-term vision
  • Develop and implement account plans and customer roadmaps aligned with Kongsberg Automotive's strategic goals and long-term growth roadmap
  • Drive new business development and secure new opportunities with existing and potential customers
  • Lead commercial negotiations, shape pricing strategies, and develop contractual frameworks
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with key customer decision makers and stakeholders
  • Deliver detailed market and competitor analysis to support commercial decisions and enhance account strategy
  • Closely follow account performance through sales forecasting and budget planning
  • Lead and coordinate quotation processes and account profitability activities

Requirements
  • 10 + years of relevant industry experience in a customer-facing commercial role
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field 3
  • Experience with Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Power BI
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Location-Home office or Kongsberg Location
  • Open to traveling to customer locations for in-person meetings and relationship-building. Willing to visit Kongsberg production sites for internal discussions. Travel is a requirement up to 30%
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
