Job description

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT โ€“ KEY ACCOUNTS
Large EPC Industrial | Power & Petrochemical

This is a high-impact, client-facing leadership role with a nationally recognized industrial services contractor known for delivering complex, large-scale projects across power and petrochemical markets.

If you thrive on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and driving revenue growthโ€”this is a chance to step into a visible role where you can directly influence market share and long-term client partnerships.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You'll serve as the strategic point of contact for key EPCs, owners, and general contractorsโ€”owning relationships, identifying upcoming projects, and positioning the company to win work.

This role sits at the intersection of client relationships, project strategy, and execution, partnering closely with estimating and operations to turn opportunities into awarded work.

You'll have the autonomy to build and execute your own sales plan, while working alongside senior leadership to expand presence within the power and petrochemical sectors.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own and grow relationships with key EPCs, owners, and contractors across targeted regions
  • Identify and drive new project opportunitiesโ€”from early-stage intelligence through award
  • Build and execute a strategic sales plan focused on high-value accounts
  • Stay ahead of market trends, project pipelines, and competitive positioning
  • Partner with estimating teams to develop winning, high-quality proposals
  • Lead client presentations and confidently communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Travel nationally to meet clients, attend industry events, and support bid efforts
  • Play a key role in expanding market share and driving top-line growth

WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 7+ years of business development, sales, or client-facing experience in industrial construction
  • Strong exposure to EPC-driven projects within power, petrochemical, or related markets
  • Experience supporting proposals, estimating, and large project pursuits
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and results-driven
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability
  • Strong communicator with polished presentation skills

Bonus: Experience with refractory, fireproofing, scaffolding, insulation, coatings, or specialty mechanical services.

WHY THIS ROLE

  • Direct visibility with senior leadership and key clients
  • Opportunity to shape growth strategy within a high-demand market
  • Work with a company known for technical excellence and execution
  • Significant runway for impact, growth, and long-term success
