Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Key Account Manager/BDM to drive sales growth in their assigned territory by expanding business with existing accounts and acquiring new accounts, both directly and through distribution channels. This role will also act as an industry specialist. Candidate will be responsible for prospecting new direct small to medium size OEMS fifty percent of their time. The ideal candidate will be in the Northeast Geography, preferably near a airport hub.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth in the assigned territory
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, distributors, and partners
  • Develop account plans that identify opportunities for growth and outline strategies for achieving revenue targets
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key customers and distributors to review performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and align future goals and objectives
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, as well as new accounts that fit the company's ideal customer profile
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with key customers, ensuring that all terms and conditions are mutually beneficial and consistent with company objectives
  • Serve as an expert in specific industries (building off successes in previous roles), staying up to date with industry trends, competitors, and regulatory issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute industry-specific sales strategies, including product development, pricing, and marketing campaigns
  • Provide industry-specific insights and thought leadership to the overall sales organization, helping to differentiate the company's offerings and win new business in the market
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry organizations and influencers, representing the company at industry events and conferences
  • Monitor and analyze customer and market trends, providing insights and recommendations to the sales team and cross-functional partners to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and deal information in the company's CRM system
  • Maintain accurate sales records and reports based on individual performance to targets

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Professional speaking French experience highly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a track record of success in both business development and account management
  • Experience in targeted industries is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Travel requirement is 75% for this role
