Job description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Technical Project Manager to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project plans, IMS/milestones, resource plans, risk registers, and status artifacts.
  • Lead daytoday project execution: monitor progress, resolve issues, manage changes, and escalate per governance.
  • Coordinate multidiscipline technical teams (engineering, operations, cloud, network, security, vendors) to manage dependencies and priorities.
  • Perform critical path and dependency analysis; recommend recovery/acceleration plans and resource tradeoffs.
  • Facilitate technical design reviews, implementation readiness reviews, and deployment cutovers.
  • Manage vendor/task order deliverables, SLAs, and acceptance criteria; validate technical deliverables against requirements.
  • Produce weekly/monthly status reports, dashboard KPIs, and executive briefings for program leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with RMF/ATO, STIGs, ITIL change processes, and contract requirements where applicable.
  • Mentor junior PMs and enforce PMO standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI (active)
  • Education / Training / Certification: Candidate must meet ONE:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering; OR
    • Relevant DoD/Military training (e.g., Cyber 101; IT Project Manager (Advanced) Playlist; ITIL 4 Foundation); OR
    • Relevant certifications (see list below).
  • Experience: Project/program management experience with at least 5 years leading technical projects in enterprise or DoD environments.
  • Demonstrated skills: IMS development, schedule/cost/risk management, stakeholder coordination, vendor management, and senior briefings.

Acceptable Certifications (one or more preferred)

  • PMP, RCCE Level 1, CCISO, CCSP, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CISSPISSEP, CISSPISSMP, DAWIA PM Advanced, FITSPA, FITSPM, GFACT, GSLC

Desired / Preferred

  • Prior DoD/Army/ARNG program experience, RMF/ATO familiarity, cloud migration, network modernization, and experience with EVM/IMS integration
  • Experience with government scheduling tools, PMO toolsets, and collaboration platforms

Target Salary Range$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
