Job Summary

We are seeking a Junior Project Manager to support and lead cross-functional IT and cybersecurity initiatives using Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative project management methodologies. The Project Manager will coordinate project planning, stakeholder communication, risk and issue management, financial tracking, resource planning, and delivery activities across IT and business teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex IT projects, working with cybersecurity or technology teams, coordinating internal and external resources, and communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects through the full lifecycle using Agile, Waterfall, or Iterative methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain project deliverables including:
    • Project Charters
    • Solution Design Documents (SDDs)
    • Technical Documentation
    • Agile Readiness Checklists
    • UAT Approvals
    • Deployment Plans
    • Stakeholder Assessments
    • Change Management and Adoption Strategies
  • Lead cross-functional cybersecurity and IT project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Coordinate project planning, execution, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and milestones.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and deliverables.
  • Support Statement of Work development and vendor progress management.
  • Track project financials, including capital vs. O&M spending, budgets, forecasts, accruals, and variances.
  • Perform resource capacity planning and coordinate resource assignments.
  • Facilitate collaboration across IT, business, cybersecurity, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with executive sponsors and key stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical concepts and project status clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Prepare project presentations, status reports, dashboards, and executive communications.
  • Support business process analysis and process mapping activities.
  • Identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities and coordinate appropriate mitigation actions.
  • Support change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, adoption planning, and organizational readiness.
  • Assist with indirect management, coaching, training, and assignment of work to project team members.
  • Utilize project management and SDLC tools such as ServiceNow, Power BI, and Jira.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives involving compliance, risk assessments, issues, exceptions, policies, and standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and practices.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, technical project management, or a related role.
  • Experience leading projects across IT and business functions.
  • Experience managing large and complex projects involving internal/external resources and labor/non-labor costs.
  • Strong knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies, including:
    • Waterfall
    • Agile
    • Iterative
    • SDLC
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, coordinate, and lead project teams.
  • Experience working with diverse cross-functional teams across IT and business organizations.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with executive sponsors and key stakeholders.
  • Experience with project cost management and resource capacity planning.
  • Strong Business Process Analysis and Mapping skills.
  • Experience implementing change management approaches to support project delivery.
  • Experience with indirect team management, including work assignment, development, and training.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Education
  • Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience demonstrating technical project management and project leadership experience.
  • Completion of 4 hours of PMM training prior to assuming the role.
  • Completion of 20 hours of ongoing professional training annually.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification.
  • Agile certification such as PSM (Professional Scrum Master) or PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner).
  • ITIL v3 or v4 certification.
  • Experience in the Energy / Utilities industry.
  • Experience with RSA Archer or similar GRC platforms.
  • Knowledge of policy and standards management.
  • Experience with compliance and risk assessments.
  • Experience with issue and exception tracking.
