About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking a Jr. Technical Project Manager performs day-to-day management of activities pertaining to the functional and technical deliverables of the project to join us.
Experience with IT infrastructure project mgmt. (network security; server systems, networking)
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating State agency and Master Contractor discussions / meetings
  • Identifying issues and risks, and recommending possible issue and risk mitigation strategies
  • Identifying critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and acceptance criteria
  • Ensuring that performance is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivered on time and within budget
  • Providing solutions to improve efficiency (e.g., reducing costs while maintaining or improving performance levels)
  • Monitoring issues and providing resolutions for up-to-date status reports
  • Demonstrating excellent writing and oral communications skills
  • Familiar with large organizational IT network management and maintenance services in managing projects or providing support, such as but not limited to:
  • Primary - network management, maintenance, and operations support;
  • systems maintenance and operations support
  • Security of customer data and assets, tools , policies
  • infrastructure management;
  • Network Operations Center (NOC) management;
  • technical services;
  • network security and certification services;
  • disaster recovery services including backup and restoration;
  • application server support and application support

  • Qualifications
    Education and Years of Experience:
    This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related discipline. Candidates must possess a Project Management certification from the PMI or similar college level certification.
    The proposed candidate must have at least two (2) years of general experience in project management and have a solid understanding of the PMI methodologies of project management.

    Required Skills & Certifications:
    Project Management Certificate; Desired: PMP and ITILv4

    Additional Requirements:
    The proposed candidate must have at least one (1) year of experience managing IT-related projects, preferably in an infrastructure support environment. The candidate should conceptually understand basic enterprise network infrastructure including network security, server systems and networking.
    Background Requirements: Must be able to successfully complete a required fingerprint background investigation.


    Physical Requirements: None required for this position.

    Location: Primarily Remote but Candidate should be in the greater DC / Baltimore area; available for onsite visits 2-3 times per month.
