Position SummaryThis position will serve as theย Site Construction Quality Coordinatorย and may be filled as aย QCA2 or QCA3, depending on the successful candidateโs experience level.
The role supportsย multiple Georgia Power Hydro sitesย under theย Hydro Modernization Program, requiring travel between sites as needed.
The position ensures that construction activities comply withย project specifications, codes, standards, and quality assurance requirements.
AMPP/NACE certificationย is a plus.
CWI/AWS certificationย andย 10+ years of quality oversight experienceย (or a 4-year degree in a related field) are required.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssistย Project Managementย with the development and implementation of theย Project Quality Plan.
Provideย oversight of onsite contractorsย to ensure all work meets applicable specifications and standards.
Assist in theย development and documentation of site-specific procedures and guidelines.
Develop and maintainย surveillance schedulesย and perform requiredย quality surveillances.
Reviewย Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)ย and ensure adherence to established requirements.
Support construction teams withย preventative maintenance planningย and quality documentation.
Participate inย pre-bid, pre-mobilization, and contractor coordination meetingsย to ensure contractor understanding of project quality expectations.
Collaborate withย Project and Construction Managementย to monitor and maintain overall project quality performance.
Required Qualifications10+ yearsย of experience inย construction quality oversight, or
Bachelorโs degreeย in aย related fieldย with equivalent experience.
CWI/AWS certificationย (required).
AMPP/NACE certificationย (preferred).
Strong understanding ofย construction QA/QC principles, documentation, and reporting standards.
Skills & ExpertiseSelf-starter, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Strongย written and verbal communicationย skills.
Familiarity withย welding standards and inspection processes.
Ability toย work independentlyย and travel frequently to multiple project sites.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate withย contractors, engineers, and project managers.
