Job description

The Platform Engineer will develop and maintain the common platform tools and services that enable the WDP System's data management and analytics capabilities. This person will build and enhance the core services that application developers and data scientists use, ensuring the platform provides a robust and efficient environment for mission-critical tasks. This person will design and implement platform capabilities such as containerization, orchestration, and service meshes, create self-service tools for developers to increase productivity, and establish platform monitoring and observability solutions. This person will implement platform security controls and compliance mechanisms, optimize platform performance and resource utilization, and automate platform operations through CI/CD pipelines. This person will evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities, develop platform documentation and training materials, and collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless integration.

  • SECRET Security Clearance Required
  • Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP cerification (for Junior / Journeyman roles)
  • SecurityX/CASP+,CCNP Security, CCSP,FITSP-O, or GFACT certification (for Senior role)
  • We are actively seeking multiple levels:
    • Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
    • Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
    • Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
  • Good communication skills, self-starter mindset.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Avalore will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Work Environment:
