Jr. Carrier Services Developer

The Jr. Carrier Services Developer position is responsible for building, troubleshooting, and maintaining the voluntary benefit products utilized by insurance carriers and brokers to enroll eligible employees in benefit offerings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building, updating and maintaining insurance products within BenSelect.
  • Analyzing client defined business rules and developing voluntary products for enrollment.
  • Troubleshooting client product issues and concerns.
  • Configuring employee benefit products for testing and assisting with setups for production.
  • Developing products including rates and forms.
  • Developing scripts to enforce carrier specific underwriting and product requirements.
  • Reporting system issues, limitations, and enhancements to development group for resolution.
  • Ensuring applications are populating and displaying correctly.
  • Reviewing carrier underwriting requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and correcting customer issues.
  • Meeting product development and support deadlines.
  • Participating in staff meetings, conference calls, and other meetings, as needed.
  • Performing other incidental and related duties as required.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent experience.
  • One year's relevant development experience using Jscript, JavaScript, HTML.
  • Familiarity with CSS, XML, Microsoft Tools, JQuery, C#.
  • Technical proficiency in JavaScript and general PC knowledge.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management, organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Effective team player with strong collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Locations in Plano, Texas – Columbia, South Carolina – New Orleans, Louisiana – Indianapolis, Indiana - Hybrid work schedule. Must be eligible for US employment.
