The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a Strategic Capture Director to join its Strategic Capture team as a senior leader responsible for driving enterprise growth in support of our federal customers’ missions. This position leads cross-functional teams throughout the full capture lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification through proposal submission and contract award. The successful candidate will possess strong customer engagement skills, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of winning competitive federal procurements. The Capture Director will lead large strategic pursuits to achieve CACI new business and recompete goals.

The candidate must be based in the DMV area and be willing to travel occasionally to CACI offices and customer sites.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end capture execution for large, complex federal pursuits valued at greater than $75M.
  • Develop capture strategies tailored to federal customer requirements, aligning technical approaches, operational concepts, and security requirements to mission objectives.
  • Drive opportunity shaping through customer engagement, market analysis, competitive positioning, and acquisition influence.
  • Build and maintain detailed customer profiles including mission priorities, acquisition behaviors, decision cycles, organizational dynamics, and evaluation preferences.
  • Lead win strategy development including technical, management, teaming, past performance, and price strategies.
  • Partner with Line of Business leadership, Solution Architects, and SMEs to develop credible, executable, and differentiated solutions.
  • Serve as the focal point for cross-functional capture teams and coordinate resources across lines of business and functional organizations.
  • Prepare and lead milestone reviews, gate reviews, risk reviews, and executive capture briefings in accordance with internal governance processes.
  • Manage B&P budgets, forecasts, pursuit risks, resource alignment, and capture metrics to support disciplined capture execution.
  • Mentor junior capture managers and support strategic growth initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience with a minimum of 12 years of relevant federal business development, capture management, or growth leadership experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.
  • Demonstrated success leading and winning competitive federal pursuits across DoD, Intelligence Community, and Federal Civilian markets.
  • Proven leadership skills to develop, organize, and execute complex capture activities including customer engagement, acquisition shaping, teaming, and win strategy execution.
  • Experience developing pricing strategies across multiple contract types, including incorporation of Basis of Estimate (BOE) development into the capture process.
  • Strong understanding of the federal acquisition process, FAR/DFARS, and competitive procurement environments.
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited oversight, and build collaborative relationships across an internal organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience briefing senior executives and customers.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization.
Desired
  • TS or TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Experience with GSA AAS FEDSIM capture pursuits and/or non-traditional acquisition strategies including OTA, CSO, and other alternative contracting approaches.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and winning strategic pursuits valued at greater than $500M with annual revenues exceeding $100M.
