JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Director - AI Enablement,ITTrainingis responsible forenabling BioCryst employees and departments to effectively adopt and use artificial intelligence and enterprise IT tools. The role's primary focus isAI enablement across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, while also owning IT adoption, training, and onboarding to ensuretechnologyinvestments are fullyutilized.

This role worksclosely with business and functional departments across BioCrystto support AI implementation within different systems, workflows, and operational areas. It is ahands-on,execution focusedroleresponsible for making AI and IT tools usable, adopted, and embedded into daily work.#LI-REMOTE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

AI Enablement & Microsoft Copilot Operations

  • Owntheday to dayoperational enablementof Microsoft 365 Copilot across the enterprise
  • Configure, test, enable, andmaintainCopilot features, settings, and options within the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Ensure Copilotremainsfunctional, secure, and usable as Microsoft introduces updates and new capabilities
  • Partner with IT security, infrastructure, applications, and service teams to align AI enablement with operational standards
  • Translate AI capabilities into practical, repeatable use cases that improve employee productivity
  • Support responsible, compliant, and scalable use of AI technologies

CrossDepartmentAI Implementation

  • Work directly withBioCryst business and functional departmentsto support AI implementation within their systems and workflows
  • Help departmentsidentifyopportunities where AI can improve efficiency, accuracy, ordecisionmaking
  • Support enablement and adoption of AI capabilities across enterprise applications and business processes
  • Act as a bridge between IT and business teams to ensure AI solutions are practical, usable, andwelladopted

ITTraining& Onboarding

  • Own IT training and enablement for new hires, system changes, and technology rollouts
  • Develop andmaintainclear,accurateIT documentation andselfserviceresources
  • Ensure adoption and training activities are embedded into IT initiatives from the start
  • Continuously improve onboarding and training materials based on user feedback and operational needs

Change Enablement & Collaboration

  • Identifyadoption gaps across AI and IT platforms and work with IT teams to address them
  • Collaborate closely with Service Desk, Infrastructure, and Applications teams to support smooth adoption
  • Provide regular updates to IT leadership on adoption trends and enablement progress

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Technology, or a related field,
    or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA, or similar) is a plus but not required.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in IT, digital workplace enablement, enterprise applications, or technology adoption roles.
  • 3-5 years of direct experience supporting AIenabled tools, automation, or intelligent platforms in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience enabling, operating, or supporting Microsoft 365 Copilot or comparable AI productivity platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience translating AI capabilities into realworld, repeatable business use cases across multiple departments.
  • Experience working closely with security, infrastructure, data, and compliance teams to ensure responsible and compliant AI usage.
  • Proven experience driving technology adoption, training, and change enablement, not just deploying tools.
  • Experience within a regulated or compliance-driven environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, healthcare, or similar) strongly preferred.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong hands-on skills enabling and operating AI-powered productivity tools, including configuration, testing, validation, and sustainment.
  • Ability to design, document, and operationalize AI use cases that improve productivity, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Practical understanding of responsible AI principles, including data protection, privacy, security, and risk management.
  • Ability to analyze user behavior and adoption patterns to continuously improve AI usability and value realization.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills to educate users on how and when to use AI effectively.
  • Ability to create AI-specific training materials, adoption guides, and self-service resources.
  • Strong collaboration skills across IT functions and business teams to ensure AI solutions are practical, trusted, and widely adopted.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Deep working knowledge of the Microsoft AI ecosystem, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and supporting Microsoft 365 services.
  • Understanding of enterprise AI enablement models, including prompt use, workflow augmentation, and productivity use cases.
  • Knowledge of AI governance, data security, access controls, and compliance considerations in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with IT service management and support models as they relate to AI-enabled tools.

Understanding of how AI impacts business processes, user behavior, and organizational change, particularly in regulated organizations.
