And our work depends on an Information Technology Manager (Network Operations and Cybersecurity Program) on our team to support Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network activities. This position is located on client site in the Virginia Beach, VA area.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Lead a team of diverse engineers and administrators, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery and operational management of customer-facing enterprise IT services.

  • Ensure service levels meet or exceed agreed-upon metrics and KPIs, addressing any deviations promptly.

  • Provide technical leadership in the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT services including VDI, desktop imaging, patching procedures, SharePoint solutions, web services, Active Directory, and Exchange.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize service delivery, enhance efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align digital services with business objectives and technological advancements.

  • Proactively evaluate, identify, and recommend configurations or changes to configurations that will enhance performance.

  • Experience with Change Management, maintenance windows and deconflicting maintenance activities.

  • Maintain and provide audit information including access, general logs, and application logs

  • Use and maintain procedures and documents to operate and maintain the infrastructure.

  • Adhere to network administration requirements and policies, network systems management and troubleshooting (e.g., performance, problem, change and capacity monitoring), bandwidth management, protocol usage statistics (e.g., identify top talkers by protocol) procedures to ensure all services are operating as intended. Execute network monitoring and problem management procedures, including responding to escalation thresholds that dont comply with requirements and adhere to defined policies.

Required:

  • Must have an Active DOD Top Secret Clearance

  • Seven (7) years of information technology experience with DoD efforts

  • Five (5) years of managerial experience with DoD efforts

  • Experience with providing oversight and maintenance of devices, including drivers, patches, and client application management

  • Experience managing enterprise network for optimal performance

  • Experience managing an IT department/program of over 200 FTEs

  • Experience gathering and reporting on performance metrics and monitoring the performance of critical components to include, but not limited to availability/uptime, response time, end-to-end throughput, bandwidth utilization, load balancing, and potential error conditions

  • Ability to obtain a USN Common Access Card (CAC) and obtain access to military installations.

  • Experience managing dispersed workforce in support of operating and maintaining an integrated network as well as a dispersed group of networks

  • Bachelors degree in information technology or related field

Desired:

  • Familiarity with synthetic training environment

  • Advanced degree in Information Technology or related field

  • Navy specific network and cyber experience

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $147,292 - $199,278. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
