Job Summary:
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. They are seeking a highly experienced Staff IT Systems Engineer to support their Systems Engineering, Endpoint Engineering, and Digital Workplace functions, ensuring operational excellence across core IT services and driving the evolution of their digital workplace strategy.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Contribute to roadmaps, OKRs, and capacity plans for each pillar, including EUS, Systems, Endpoint, and Digital Workplace.
โ€ข Administer and ensure the reliability of core IT infrastructure hardware and systems, such as VDI, identity, collaboration, SaaS platforms, directory services, and authentication.
โ€ข Contribute to systems architecture decisions and ensure scalable, secure configurations.
โ€ข Execute the device management across macOS, Windows, and mobile platforms.
โ€ข Administer and support tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Miro, Notion, and Atlassian.
โ€ข Support the implementation of IT governance, risk management, and compliance strategies.
โ€ข Drive integration, automation, and tool governance to reduce friction across teams.
โ€ข Partner with Security, Engineering, and Facilities to ensure a secure and productive environment.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Education: B.S in Computer Science or related IT / Engineering discipline
โ€ข Experience: 3+ years of relevant IT experience.
โ€ข Technical Skills: Hands-on familiarity with identity management (Okta/Entra), endpoint management tools, and core SaaS systems.
โ€ข Scaling: Experience building and scaling IT systems in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
โ€ข Windows Expertise: Deep knowledge of Windows operating systems and system administration, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting. Windows certifications are a plus.
โ€ข Soft Skills: Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience in engineering-driven, hybrid, or multi-site organizations.
โ€ข Experience supporting executive teams or high-velocity engineering organizations.
โ€ข Strong understanding of automation, workflow orchestration, and operational tooling.
โ€ข Exposure to compliance frameworks such as SOC2, FedRAMP, CMMC, or ISO 27001.
