What you will do:

  • Manage, plan, and coordinate project activities to meet schedule, cost, and performance objectives.
  • Manage engineering and technical support activities for satellite communications (SATCOM) systems to meet current and emerging mission requirements.
  • Lead the design, development, integration, and sustainment of SATCOM systems across the full systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), system architecture, and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
  • Ensure system requirements are properly defined, implemented, and integrated into overall system architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SATCOM capabilities across network environments.
  • Support reliable, secure, and efficient transmission of data, voice, and video across the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN).
  • Assist in identifying system risks, issues, and opportunities, and support development of mitigation strategies.
  • Support system modernization efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical input to program planning, execution, and performance tracking activities.


What you will bring:

  • Experience supporting project coordination, pricing, or contract administration efforts.
  • 37 years of experience in systems engineering, SATCOM, or a related technical field.
  • Experience supporting DoD or DISA programs and mission environments.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes and lifecycle methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SATCOM systems, network architectures, and communications technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Strong commitment to supporting customer missions and delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (experience may be considered in lieu of education).
  • Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred or eligible).
