The Difference You Make:
The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for the administration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure across identity services, virtualization, storage, backup and recovery, monitoring, and end-user computing environments. This role ensures operational stability, security, and compliance of all infrastructure platforms while supporting strategic transformation initiatives aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Administers and maintains core infrastructure, including Active Directory, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, PKI, and MFA (DUO).
  • Manages virtualization and end-user environments (VMware, Citrix VDI, RDS) and supports on-prem Exchange.
  • Administers Windows Server environments, SAN storage, and file services (DFS), ensuring performance and availability.
  • Manages backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Zerto; Avamar/Data Domain a plus), including testing and failover readiness.
  • Monitors systems and executes patch management across servers and endpoints (SolarWinds, BigFix a plus).
  • Ensures technology lifecycle compliance, asset tracking (CMDB), and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Supports security and risk initiatives, including audits, RCSA, and infrastructure hardening.
  • Administers development and test environments and supports deployment and validation activities.
  • Leads and supports infrastructure modernization, platform migrations, and decommissioning efforts.
  • Enhances disaster recovery, resilience, and security through ongoing improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested by immediate supervisor.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree: in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Required

Qualifications:
  • 3+ Years Information Technology, Technical Application Development, or similar experience. - Required.
  • 3+ Years Experience providing customer support for IT systems or applications. - Preferred.
  • 3+ Years Experience writing technical documentation for both technical and nontechnical audiences. - Preferred.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies.
  • Produces accurate and quality work; detail oriented.
  • The ability to program in required language.
  • General understanding of the technology project lifecycle.
  • General understanding of financial services business environment.
  • Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.
  • Basic knowledge in development tools.
  • Basic knowledge in programming languages and methodologies.
  • Technical writing and documentation experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office products.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
