Summary:
Responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining medical imaging and clinical applications within the Virtua Health System. This support includes medical imaging and clinical applications as well as the workflows used in the following service lines: Cardiology, Dental, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Neurology, Perinatal, and Radiology. Responsibilities include assistance with the optimization of the application through development of new functionality, testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, and fixing system defects. Provide technical and functional application analysis and develop logical data models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance, electronic auditing, and data integrity. Ability to understand and support IT application and system integrations. Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols, create and maintain all documentation for all assigned applications, and develop, plan and execute testing for supported applications. Knowledge and adherence to cybersecurity and HIPAA policies and practices.

Position Responsibilities:

Working knowledge of operational and clinical workflows, application software architecture and associated building tools to properly build and maintain application components from design specifications. Assists with the day-to-day support of medical imaging and clinical applications including error management, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting of IT systems and electronic auditing to provide optimal patient care and services to end users. Responsible for understanding and documenting business needs as well as collaborating on appropriate IT solution.

With guidance able to build new technical functionality, provide technical support and maintain medical imaging and clinical applications within the Virtua Health system. Responsibilities include building, testing and assisting with the implementation of scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, fixing system defects, and error or work queue management. Works with cross functional application teams and other Virtua clients including end users, operational leaders, and physicians. Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols.

Able to assist with project/upgrades as necessary following all project management standards. Assists with troubleshooting and problem-solving support and acts as a support resource to other IT staff. Actively participates in system build, configuration, and testing events for projects/upgrades.

Adheres to IT Business Practices including IT standards with Problem Management, Change Management, Content Management, Data Courier, cybersecurity, HIPAA and IT practices as required to provide on-call 24x7 support as needed.

Monitors ServiceNow ticketing queue to quickly troubleshoot incoming ticket incidents and requests. Works closely with other IT personnel, Virtua Clinical and Operational Business owners to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:

At least 2-4 years of experience in IT or healthcare operations related field can also include coursework or healthcare/IT internship.

Required Education:
Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree

Training/Certifications/Licensure:

IT certifications may be required as needed by Virtua. If IT certification, such as Epic certification, is required at time of hire, employee must obtain up-to-date certification in designated application(s) within 6 months of employment.

Annual Salary: $79,719 - $123,934 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.Virtua offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: medical/prescription, dental and vision insurance; health and dependent care flexible spending accounts; 403(b) (401(k) subject to collective bargaining agreement); paid time off, paid sick leave as provided under state and local paid sick leave laws, short-term disability and optional long-term disability, colleague and dependent life insurance and supplemental life and AD&D insurance; tuition assistance, and an employee assistance program that includes free counseling sessions.
