WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking IT Applications Analysts - Developers in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position currently offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Milwaukee office.

This position is part of a job family (Associate IT Applications Analyst, IT Applications Analyst, and Senior IT Applications Analyst) where experience will be the determining factor.

Job Summary

The IT Applications Analyst (Developer) enables and facilitates business success through the application of Information Technology principles, practices and software solutions in partnership with our business clients. The IT Applications Analyst works on software applications, databases, deliverables and issues of a defined scope leveraging established patterns.
They are responsible for deploying and supporting business critical systems related to both internal and external customer service applications. The systems supported include a mixture of vendor and in-house developed applications primarily utilizing Microsoft development tools.  This position requires close working relationships with business clients to identify needs and determine usable solutions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supporting and enhancing software solutions.  Tasks involve designing, modifying, developing, testing, configuring and implementing programs, scripts, processes and procedures. 
  • Learns the tools and platforms used by the team; learns and applies the team's standards and processes; learns and the business area's processes, applications and objectives; applies analytical skills and consults with others to solve problems; develops sound execution plans to complete tasks and/or solve problems; provides day to day client support as experience and expertise allow; builds relationships within IT; contributes to the team's success through individual contribution and collaboration. 
  • Develops and uses a variety of IT skills across four main disciplines or areas of emphasis: Systems Analysis & Administration, Software Engineering & Development, Project Management & Delivery and Data Analytics & Architecture.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Data Science, Information Science, Engineering is required. Other bachelor's degrees will be considered based on related IT experience. Successful completion of a certified Application Development Apprenticeship will also be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one of the following skillsets:

  • .Net code, VB, SQL Server
  • .Net web, ASP.Net, C#, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and HTML
  • UI Path or RPA Technologies

End Date: 08/10/2026 

Pay Range Minimum:  $68,436.68 

Pay Range Maximum:  $135,761.08 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
