Your role at Delta Faucet:
The Category Controller is responsible for all financial analysis and accounting needs for the category across multiple locations. This role will be a trusted business partner to the Sr Director, Category Manufacturing to drive operations cost reductions and other business initiatives. The position is expected to serve as a thought partner to plant operations leaders to help the plants execute goals by providing timely, insightful, accurate information as well as tools to influence business decisions. This includes: providing financial support for plant operations management, overseeing the month-end close and reviews, analysis of annual budget, capital appropriations approvals, inventory accuracy, and compliance and consistency of SOX controls across multiple locations. This person must be open to new and ever-changing processes and procedures. This person must be able to work with a diverse group of individuals in a fast-paced environment with specific goals to win. Reporting to the Sr Director of Manufacturing and Product Accounting and will interact heavily with Operations and Supply Chain as well as other staff at headquarters and plant locations. The category Plant Controllers and their direct reports will report to the Category Controller.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversite of category forecasting monthly and annual budgeting
  • Special project work and involvement on annual strategic initiatives
  • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics for the category
  • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process for the category
  • Ensures all accounting policies and procedures across multiple facilities in order to be in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
  • Oversite of month end activities and performance for category

Education and Experience/Skills:
  • B.S. in Accounting (CMA/CPA preferred) and 10-12 years experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated success using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access and Word) and preferred experience with SAP ERP.
  • Must be solution oriented
  • Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • High detail orientation and ability to work with attention to accuracy is required.
  • Ability to conceptualize a variety of unanticipated problems, many times with little or no precedent.
  • Ability to work independently with little guidance is essential.
