Job description

Overview

SUMMER 2027

Shure offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

The Global Media Relations Intern will provide hands-on support for media relations activities, including media monitoring, research, reporting, content development, and outreach coordination. In this role, you will help the Global Media Relations team share customer-focused stories that highlight Shure solutions, support thought leadership efforts, amplify content on LinkedIn, and strengthen how audiences discover Shure through AI-powered search. 

This Internship will be Remote, Onsite or Hybrid in Niles, IL.

  • Press release writing and development 
  • Assisting with awards entries 
  • Managing speaking opportunities  
  • Responding to media inquiries 
  • Managing media relations processes 
Qualifications
  • In-process of a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or a related field  
  • Highly organized and eager to build end-to-end process improvement skills 
  • Able to follow standard instructions, practices and procedures 
  • Self-motivated, team player, detail oriented 
  • Able to meet required deadlines 
  • Ability to work independently with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Good Microsoft Office skills. Experience with PR database MuckRack a plus. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
