Job Title: Internship & Community Service Developer

Location: Hunts Point, Bronx (On-Site)

Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 Base Annual Salary + Bonus

About the Role

America Works of New York, Inc. is a mission-driven workforce development organization seeking an Internship & Community Service Developer to build and manage employer and community-based organization (CBO) partnerships that create internship and work-based learning opportunities for job seekers.

This role blends business development, relationship management, and community engagement, with a strong focus on developing internship pipelines and work-based learning experiences to support client skill-building and career exploration. You will identify organizations willing to offer internship opportunities, secure formal partnership agreements, and coordinate on-site visits to support internship placements for job seekers across New York City. This position is based in the Bronx office and supports partnerships and job seekers throughout all NYC boroughs.

If you are relationship-driven, comfortable with outreach, and motivated by creating access to career exposure for underserved populations, this role offers meaningful impact and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Prospect, cold call, and conduct outreach to employers and community-based organizations to identify internship and work-based learning opportunities

· Develop and maintain partnerships with companies and CBOs willing to offer internship opportunities and provide hands-on work experience

· Secure formal partnership agreements with organizations participating in internship programs

· Conduct on-site visits to employer and partner locations to establish relationships and support program compliance

· Collaborate internally to match clients with appropriate internship opportunities aligned with their career interests

· Support clients through internship placement preparation, including basic job readiness and expectations setting

· Track outreach activity, partnerships, and placements in internal systems

· Generate repeat internship opportunities through ongoing relationship management

· Meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly internship development and placement goals

· Maintain a structured schedule balancing outreach, site visits, follow-ups, and partnership development

What We?re Looking For

· High School Diploma required; 4-year degree preferred

· 2?4 years of sales experience

· Interest in or exposure to B2B sales, account management, or employer relations

· Confident communicator with strong negotiation, customer service, and closing skills

· Comfortable with cold outreach, follow-ups, and performance metrics

· Organized, goal-oriented, and motivated by results and incentives

· Passion for helping individuals overcome barriers to employment

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

· Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint experience preferred
