Traveling Director of Rehabilitation

Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist

(Midwest Regions I 6-12 Month Interim Assignments with Potential for Permanent Placement)

InReach Rehab is seeking a motivated and experienced Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing team as a Traveling Director of Rehabilitation. This leadership role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about exceptional patient care and ready to guide the clinical and operational success of a rehab department.

This position includes interim director assignments of 6-12 months at one of our Midwest locations, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role if desired. Because our openings change throughout the year, candidates are encouraged to inquire about current available sites.

As a Rehab Director with InReach, you will lead and support your therapy team while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. Youโ€™ll use your clinical expertise and leadership skills to mentor clinicians, foster a positive team culture, and elevate rehab services within the communities you serve. New directors receive support from an experienced mentor and a network of 21 Rehab Directors across the company.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the therapy team while promoting a high-performance, patient-centered culture.
  • Develop, implement, and review operational policies, procedures, and clinical practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain current knowledge of rehab best practices.
  • Build relationships with leaders across the company.
  • Collaborate to ensure coordinated services and strong patient outcomes.
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing staff development.
  • Monitor department performance, billing practices, and support budgeting and financial goals.
  • Track therapy outcomes and implement strategies to improve quality and access.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for complex cases and support therapist growth.
  • Maintain a patient caseload and treat alongside your team.
Requirements

Licensure & Experience:

  • Masterโ€™s degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current or anticipated licensure as a PT, OT, or SLP in one of the states we operate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting.

Leadership & Operational Skills:

  • Proven leadership skills or experience managing a diverse rehab team.
  • Strong understanding of operational and financial management in healthcare.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Technical & Professional Skills:

  • Experience with EMR systems and clinical workflows.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement clinical and operational strategies that enhance care delivery.
  • Commitment to continued professional development.
