Job description

You will be the Systems Engineering Manager (Specialty Engineering) for the Aeronautics Specialty Engineering team which is responsible for driving centralized specialty engineering practices.


What You Will Be Doing


As the Systems Engineering Manager (Specialty Engineering) you will be responsible for leading the implementation and execution of Centralized Specialty Engineering practices, including Affordability Engineering, Exportability Control Compliance, and Exportability and Disclosure Policy across all Aeronautics Lines of Business.


Your responsibilities will include:



  • Lead the execution of Affordability Engineering, Exportability Control Compliance, and related policy initiatives.

  • Direct Earned Value Management System strategy, engineering processes, technical personnel, and tooling to ensure efficient operations.

  • Oversee functional management duties such as performance assessments, career development, merit and salary actions, and trainingplan creation.

  • Manage staffing activities-including resource forecasting, recruitment, selection of experienced professionals, contractors, college hires, and interns.

  • Cultivate a dynamic, accountable work environment that aligns technical strategy with Aeronautics Line of Business objectives.
