Manager, Project Manager - Global Payment Network Intake & Discovery

As a Manager Project Manager at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company's bottom line. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the company. As an Intake and Discovery Manager within the Product Solutions team, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing intake requests. Here you will partner with intent owners to help drive strategy and ensure the organization is focused on high priority intents for the company. This associate will also be responsible for building and maintaining working relationships with lines of business, key Product, Tech and Portfolio associates within NPP.

General Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage intake requests coming from the Enterprise, requiring horizontal support from Network Products and Platform teams; will coordinate across job disciplines to move intent through the pipeline

  • Maintain a governance model to manage a portfolio of most critical intents, managing stakeholder community expectations and communicating effectively across various levels of the organization

  • Leverage problem-solving and influencing skills to ensure Intake process supports business and delivery needs while ensuring intent is well defined and solutioned prior to team execution

  • Collaborates with all levels of the organization to monitor and manage the prioritized items, helping to govern resource resource expenditure

  • Ensure appropriate documentation mitigating risk and adhering to SLAs that are in place to support the intake process

  • Report on Intake mechanism throughput while managing escalations and impediment resolution

  • Build and maintain high trust relationships with partner teams across Network Products and Platform (NPP).

  • Exposure to influencing senior level executives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 4 years of Project Management experience OR 4 years or Program Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or MBA degree

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience or Program Management experience

  • 1+ years of Product Management experience

  • PMP, Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project Management


McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Project Management


Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Project Management









Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
