Job description

Summary 

Marriott International is seeking a Senior Manager, Intake to join our Procurement Operations team. Procurement Operations is responsible for leading core functions such as governance, vendor support, technology, reporting, and management of revenues and receivables.

The Senior Manager is responsible for the end-to-end Procurement intake process, ensuring all incoming requests to Enterprise Procurement are accurately triaged, routed, and tracked through the appropriate procurement workflows. This role drives the design of an AI-based intake technology solution to facilitate the routing of requests from associates attempting to procure goods and services. Once operational, this role provides ongoing oversight of the process, managing exceptions and overall performance as well as ongoing enhancements. 

Required Qualifications

  • 4- year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in related field appropriate to work position
  • 5+ years supporting contract intake
  • Experience working in procurement, sourcing operations, or shared services 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the owner of the AI-intake process and primary point of contact for the performance and oversight incoming procurement requests. 
  • Drive the implementation of the AI-intake technology by providing design criteria and ensuring the process meets all requirements and expectations.
  • Provide ongoing performance reporting to KPI reporting team and address any performance issues.
  • Manage all exceptions that require review and escalation to ensure business stakeholders requests are managed appropriately.
  • Act as a liaison between requestors and downstream procurement teams. 
  • Capture and document intake trends, request patterns, and common issues. 
  • Provide insights to inform process improvements, standardization of documentation, and automation opportunities. 
  • Partner with digital/AI teams to support the design of intelligent intake solutions. 
  • Maintain accurate records in procurement systems.
