Job description

Overview

Smile Brands is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Insurance Payment Processor to join our Central Billing Office team in San Antonio, TX. This onsite role plays a critical part in supporting accurate and timely insurance payment posting and account reconciliation across multiple practice management systems.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven environment and is highly organized with strong attention to detail. Success in this role requires accuracy, accountability, and the ability to navigate multiple systems while meeting daily productivity goals.


Schedule (days/hours)
Monday - Friday 7:30a-4pm, mandatory monthly OT and occasional Saturdays
Responsibilities
  • Accurately post insurance and capitation payments to patient accounts across multiple practice management systems
  • Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and apply appropriate account adjustments, credits, or patient balances
  • Research and reconcile patient accounts within automated payment processing systems
  • Balance daily posting activity against live check and electronic deposits
  • Maintain accurate daily tracking and reconciliation logs
  • Complete weekly audits and reporting related to payment posting activity
  • Resolve payment posting support tickets and account discrepancies
  • File and maintain payment documentation and EOB records
  • Communicate daily posting totals and unresolved balances to leadership

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in payment posting, insurance processing, medical/dental billing, or a related revenue cycle role
  • Experience reviewing EOBs and understanding insurance claims adjudication
  • Strong data entry and 10-key skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Dentrix Ascend 
  • Typing speed of 50+ WPM
  • Experience with cash handling

Compensation
$16.00 - $18.50 per hour
