Payment Poster

Location: Baltimore, MD

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00/hour

Work Environment

Large healthcare office environment, 100% onsite, full-time, first shift. Business casual dress code.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

Compensation and Benefits

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

The Payment Poster will support the billing team by posting payments, processing charge entries, reconciling accounts, researching payment discrepancies, and assisting with EPIC work queues. This role also involves handling incoming patient calls and providing excellent customer service while supporting various revenue cycle functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post insurance and patient payments accurately and timely
  • Set up patient payment plans and process copays
  • Perform charge entry and payment reconciliation
  • Research payment discrepancies, remittances, and EOBs
  • Work EPIC work queues to support billing operations
  • Complete data entry and administrative support tasks
  • Assist billers with overflow work and special projects
  • Answer incoming patient calls and assist with billing inquiries
  • Maintain accuracy and productivity in a high-volume environment
