Description
Provide administrative support to the Asset Recovery and Bankruptcy Litigation Section. Reports to the Assistant Section Chief.
Examples of Duties
  • Provide administrative and litigation support, including maintaining calendars, scheduling, filing and reporting.
  • Collaborate with legal assistant to provide necessary backup and/or support in payment processing.
  • Coordinate to ensure proper workflow and provide backup assistance to section staff.
  • Assist with preparation of statistical, agency and other reports.
  • Assist with updating Trial Calendar.
  • Assist in screening new cases, preparing new case referrals, and monitoring case dockets of new cases.
  • Assist with maintaining the Section Team site on SharePoint.
  • Assist with obtaining court and case information as requested or required by agencies, court personnel, opposing counsel, or by management.
  • Answer telephone; type and copy correspondence and routine documents.
  • Assist with uploading pleadings and other documents into case management system.
  • Assist with opening and closing cases, maintaining and archiving files.
  • Assist with daily mail review and distribution.
  • Assist with updating telephone lists and organizational charts; maintaining office supplies and supply cabinet.
  • Other duties as assigned by Assistant Section Chief and Section Chief.
