Our fast-paced Farmers Insurance agency is looking for an ambitious Agent Trainee who wants more than just a job — we’re looking for someone who wants to build a career, grow into leadership, and eventually become a top producer or agent.

This is an in-office position with hands-on training, mentorship, and a clear growth path. If you enjoy sales, helping people, and being rewarded for your hard work, we want to meet you.

What You’ll Do

  • Build relationships with new and existing clients
  • Generate and follow up on leads
  • Quote and sell insurance products including auto, home, life, and commercial insurance
  • Educate customers on coverage options and protect what matters most
  • Work closely with agency leadership to develop sales and business skills
  • Learn the day-to-day operations of a successful insurance agency
  • Grow into increased responsibilities, leadership opportunities, and higher earning potential

Responsibilities
  • Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
  • Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
  • Treat each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity including financial products.
  • Be outstanding at relationship building.
  • Prospects for new business by following sales leads generated from referrals, networking, marketing, cold-calling, and lead databases.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attend training and continuing education courses.
Requirements
  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.
  • Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Career minded vision.
  • Be capable of handling customer rejection.
  • Previous work experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing.
  • Ability to adapt to change, learn new things quickly, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Property Casualty and Life Health license preferred, but willing to assist with this process for the right candidate.
