Job description

Overview

The Implementation Consultant is a post-sales position focused on individual clients and the implementation of Edifecs solutions they have purchased. This role involves installing, configuring, and overseeing the implementation of Edifecs products for the client. Responsibilities include installing products on Edifecs or client hardware, and configuring and developing programs, tasks, and guidelines to fully implement Edifecs solutions based on the client's specific needs. The Implementation Consultant will serve as the primary technical resource for Client Services, interfacing with the client's technical resources. Duties range from delivering product training to developing and deploying new client-specific requirements. This role requires strong client coordination and communication skills, as well as a deep technical understanding of Edifecs solutions and the transactions they handle.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and communicate with the client post-sale to develop an implementation plan for configuring a purchased Edifecs solution based on the client's individual needs.
  • Collaborate with the Edifecs Implementation Architect/Technical Project Manager to formulate the architecture, implementation strategy/schedule, and operational plan.
  • Install, upgrade, and configure Edifecs products for the client.
  • Integrate Edifecs products with other software assets/processes for the client.
  • Coordinate with other Client Services, Product, and Development team members to meet development and configuration milestones, developing guidelines, programs, tasks, reports, etc., to meet the client's requirements.
  • Provide post-implementation support during the transition from implementation to maintenance.
  • Provide software and client-specific training, and develop training documentation based on current standards and client needs.
  • Mentor and train internal teams on Edifecs products and customer custom components.
  • Work with customers as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on purchased Edifecs products and solutions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technology program, or equivalent experience in implementing and operating Java stack-based enterprise applications.
  • 5+ years of experience working in enterprise software solution implementation.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing, developing, and deploying Java or Middleware-based applications, including technologies such as webMethods, IBM WebSphere, TIBCO Business Works, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle GlassFish, Oracle JCaps, and related platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience using software life-cycle methodologies such as waterfall and agile scrum in developing products.

5+ years of experience using software engineering tools for configuration management, defect tracking, and unit testing.

  • 3+ years of experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) mapping and EDI analysis.
  • Domestic travel required up to 10%-15%

  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • No adverse environmental conditions are expected.

Base compensation ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
