Job description

Department: Solutions Design and Delivery

As a Sr. Implementation Manager within the Solutions Design & Delivery team, you own the complete technical relationship for our Enterprise and Strategic merchants from technical win through go-live. You pick up the technical relationship the Solutions Architect built during pre-sales and carry it forward, becoming the merchant's primary technical point of contact for the full integration. While your work is predominantly post-sale, you may support pre-sales technical validation on select deals when needed. You will work cross-functionally across Risk, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure timely integrations that also result in a positive merchant experience, and you will build strong working relationships within the merchant's platform and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Technical Ownership & Delivery

  • Validate the technical design and data requirements defined during pre-sales, partnering with the Solutions Architect to make sure nothing gets lost in the handoff from what was proposed to what gets built.
  • Own finalization of a technical design that both the merchant and Signifyd agree on, resolving any open questions or gaps before implementation work begins.
  • Lead the merchant's technical team or SI through design, development, and testing, no matter the platform, industry, or business model. You set the pace, catch problems early, and keep both sides aligned on what "done" looks like at each phase.
  • Bring hands-on familiarity with API integrations and common ecommerce platforms such as Magento, Salesforce, and Shopify, along with the judgment to apply that knowledge to whatever stack a merchant is actually running.
  • Own timely delivery of key integration milestones. Every integration looks different; milestones may include defining success criteria and confirming those criteria have been met.

Communication & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Communicate integration status across the full project team, merchant and internal, with regular report-outs that keep everyone clear on dates, risks and mitigation plans, and the overall approach, especially when an integration spans multiple phases.
  • Flag proactively when a business sponsor or C-suite relationship needs Signifyd leadership involved, and brief them so they can engage credibly.
  • Keep a clean onboarding portfolio with regular, transparent updates in CRM.
  • Collaborate with internal Signifyd teams to swiftly escalate and resolve integration roadblocks, communicating resolution to internal stakeholders and merchants alike.
  • Work cross-functionally to keep improving the onboarding experience, partnering with Risk, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success.
  • Treat Risk as an internal client: deliver the outcomes the merchant expects while giving Data Science the planning and data they need to hit those expectations.
  • Spot when a new, novel, or edge-case merchant need is really an opportunity to extend a feature or API integration, and treat it as a growth lever, not a one-off fix.

Team & Process Impact

  • Understand Signifyd's implementation methodology well enough to build on it, not just follow it. Improve it, streamline it, and help institutionalize the practices that make the team faster and more efficient without sacrificing quality, risk management, or the merchant relationship.
  • Contribute to a culture of shared knowledge. We don't require strict adherence to process. We ask that you show up for the team: share what you're learning, document what works, and help the next person skip the problem you already solved.
  • Become a subject matter expert whose knowledge strengthens the team and the business, not just your own book of work.
  • Embody a genuinely collaborative culture. This team runs on people covering for each other. When someone's slammed, the team steps in to lighten the load. When you have capacity, you check in, offer help, and pick up what you can. We rely on each other because when one of us is out, the implementation doesn't stop.
  • Onboard new team members as their buddy, supporting their first merchant conversations and helping them build the technical skills an integration requires.
Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 8+ years of complex technical implementation and/or solutions delivery experience, including direct experience working with Top 1000 Retailers.
  • Demonstrated passion for ecommerce or technology services.
  • Background in payments, fintech, or fraud (bonus, not necessary).

Skills

  • Project management experience/certification
  • Clear understanding of API terminology (e.g., GET, POST, PUT, JSON, Webhook, Listeners) and tools (e.g., Postman, GitHub, etc.).
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently with tools such as Looker, Monday, Salesforce, Claude, Gemini, Google Sheets/Excel, and SQL.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to shift comfortably between operational, technical, and C-suite conversations.
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented when needed, highly organized, and creative.
  • Self-starter who thrives under ambiguity in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Python fluency (bonus).
