The Opportunity
Under general direction, formulates and defines business process systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Guides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts. Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Reports to the Business Process Technology Manager.

Black & Veatch Operations develops, deploys, and maintains global resources and capabilities that guide execution and process excellence across the organization. Key Responsibilities
  • Gather/understand/outline complex business process technology needs and document technology requirements . Provide application/solution development support (requirements, design and production support) for 
  • Information Technology tools and business processes . Deliver training and educational materials related to best practices for leveraging key technology components . Effectively facilitate the implementation of best practices and policies for leveraging existing tools utilized throughout various projects and programs . Work with business Subject Matter Experts to understand business process and technical requirements for custom development as well as shrink wrapped software solutions . Working with internal and external clients to understand user provided business requirements for application and process related assessments as well as improvement recommendations . Lead cross divisional teams responsible for collecting information on Business Cases and Return on Investment Analysis . Research and recommend solutions that best meet the requirements defined by client project teams and conform within corporate standards . Work with other Black and Veatch organizations to ensure quality application support and delivery to the end-user for a variety of network and application related technologies . Collaborate with 3rd party service providers to execute on project related initiatives and address technology issues . Acts in capacity of a "lead person"and has supervisory peformance management responsibility for the people to whom they provide work direction
