Position Title: Human Resources Generalist

Location: Hayat Corporate Headquarters, Milwaukee, WI

Reports to: Human Resources Director

Position Purpose

The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily payroll and benefits functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including administering pay, benefits, and FMLA program. The Generalist will be enforcing company policies and practices.

Scope of Responsibilities

Hayat Pharmacy is an innovative and compassionate company providing a variety of pharmacy services in southeast Wisconsin. The company operates robust community-based pharmacies that offer award-winning services such as medication packaging, medication management, and free prescription delivery. Hayat Pharmacy focuses on providing opportunities for customers to achieve high quality health outcomes through access, education, and in-home consultation, and in building and maintaining strong relationships with community medical providers and other external stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  2. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  3. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  4. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  5. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  6. Any and all other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of higher education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or business-related field, with thorough knowledge of human resource management principles.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of proven successful experience with relevant Human Resources-related activities, preferably with an organization of 100 or more employees.
  3. Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and attention to detail.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  8. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  9. Capacity and aptitude to maintain strict confidentiality and to effectively maneuver through sensitive and classified situations with firm ethical standards.
  10. Proficiency with basic computer skills and software systems, including Windows, word-processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  11. Willingness to travel within a limited geographic area as business needs arise.
