We are looking for an organized Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support day-to-day people operations for a Contract opportunity based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role will help keep hiring and employee administration activities on track by coordinating onboarding steps, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with a range of HR support tasks. The ideal candidate brings prior HR administrative experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with internal partners in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate pre-employment and onboarding activities to help new team members move through the hiring process efficiently.
• Prepare, review, and manage employment documents while ensuring personnel information is entered accurately in HR systems.
• Partner closely with HR staff to support each stage of onboarding administration, from paperwork collection through final record setup.
• Maintain organized employee files and verify that documentation is complete, current, and aligned with compliance standards.
• Review and process supporting onboarding materials, including transcripts, screening-related items, and other required records.
• Provide administrative assistance across HR operations, including data updates, correspondence, and routine employee support requests.
• Contribute to special projects and additional assignments that help the department maintain smooth daily operations during a contract coverage period.• At least 2 years of experience in human resources support, HR coordination, or a related administrative role.
• Hands-on experience with HR administration processes, including employee documentation and record maintenance.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms and confidence working within digital systems to update and track employee information.
• Experience supporting onboarding activities such as new employee paperwork, background checks, and required pre-employment documentation.
• Working knowledge of employee relations support practices and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within established deadlines.
