Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver – Selma, NC - $18.00/hr

Part-Time

Afternoon/Evening Schedule | Weekly Pay | Paid Training | Growth Opportunities | Team Environment

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience – you will genuinely make a difference in somebody’s life. Responsibilities will include:

  • Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
  • Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
  • Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
  • Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
  • Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
  • Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
  • Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
  • Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
  • Complete ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks

  • Lifting may be required, depending on client needs

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support
