Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the GM to identify staffing strategies to meet short and long-term headcount needs.
  • Support location by meeting full operational headcount to ensure service levels are met Forecasting. Proactively seeking recruitment strategies to support increased headcount needs.
  • Partner with the corporate HR department to provide ongoing feedback regarding onboarding processes and participate in HR corporate special projects as needed.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
  • Partner with community resources to create brand awareness and attract top talent.
  • Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)
  • Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System
  • Manage recruitment and selection processes (resume screening, screening calls, interviews
  • Review employment applications and background check reports to ensure proper authorization and hiring requirements are met.
  • Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities.
  • Evaluate turnover trends to ensure best-in-class employee engagement and retention solutions are implemented.
  • Administer and facilitate all onboarding requirements, background, and drug screening ensuring hiring compliances are met for all new hires.
  • Strict adherence and accountability to employee confidentiality and hiring.
  • Performs benefits administration, change reporting, data collection, reconciling and approving invoices for payment, open enrollment, and communicating benefits information to employees.
  • Works closely with brokers, agents, consultants, and third-party administrators to timely and accurately perform necessary functions related to employee benefits, regulatory reports, and compliance requirements.
  • Assists with the administration of the 401K and the Employees' Stock Ownership Plan.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Assists in the evaluation of reports about all HR functions.
  • Assists employees and management with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assists with new-employee onboarding and procedures.
  • Assists with recruiting efforts for established and proposed businesses.
  • Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
  • Initiates and completes background checks & drug screens per all regulations and mandates.
  • Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
  • Assists with special HR projects.
  • Files EEO-1 and VETS reports annually; and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to regulations.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

Education/Experience:
Three to five years of HR-related experience, or an associate degree or bachelor's Degree in a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
Abilities:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common reports, regulations, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Demonstrates strong experience in union negotiations, including collective bargaining, grievance resolution, and labor contract administration. Skilled in building collaborative relationships with union representatives while protecting organizational interests. Well-versed in federal and state labor laws, including the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and other employment regulations to ensure full compliance during all labor relations activities.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should know word processing software, spreadsheet software, PowerPoint software, human resource information systems, and payroll systems. We primarily use Word, Excel, Kronos, and VOYA.
