Outside Sales Representative is responsible for conducting sales out in the field to either assigned or prospective customers. This position needs to be able to provide the best possible sales/service experience. Outside Sales Representative’s main objective is to create new business while giving a positive experience to existing customers.

Requirements:
  • Travel around your sales area to meet with existing and new customers.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers.
  • Scheduling appointments and meeting existing customers to identify and qualify potential new prospects and present current product needs.
  • Effective planning to conduct sales calls by meeting customers physically on a daily basis.
  • Identify and qualify prospective customers through research, networking, and “cold calling”.
  • Estimating projects & doing Take-Offs for contractors and customers
  • Measuring doors,windows,siding,roofing & other products when necessary
  • Maintain great communication with customers and coworkers.
  • Provide Company product options and services to customers.
  • Providing and seeing that customer inquiries are handled promptly.
  • Delivering product to a customer if necessary.
  • Be familiar with the product preferences of the customers in the sales territory.
  • Servicing customers after normal business hours when needed
  • Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the Company in a positive manner.
  • Be familiar with stock inventory of specific stores in the sales territory.
  • Provide customers with requested product list and prices in a timely and professional manner.
  • Regularly communicating to all customers on Company products, procedures and services.
  • Aggressively following up on business opportunities.
  • Follow up with customers that products were delivered as expected.
  • Enhancing up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services, and tolls by attending departmental and training meetings as scheduled.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Responsible for scheduling general maintenance and maintaining a clean company vehicle.
  • Attendance and participation in scheduled staff/sales meetings.
  • Professionally handle customer complaints.
  • Keep all company information confidential.
  • Other duties as assigned by Department Head, Manager, and/or Ownership.
