About This Role

Every position at Common Citizen from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. As a Guest Advisor, you are the face of the company and need to treat all our guests with great humanity. Guest Advisors are educators first, salespeople second. Their primary role is to provide unparalleled customer service in which they educate their fellow advisors, the dispensary guests, and help them discover the cannabis products that will help them achieve a higher quality of life.

Responsibilities

Outlined below is what we see you doing at this point in time. We are a fast-growing company looking for people that are excited to grow along with us.

Creating an unparalleled customer service experience for our guests, your fellow citizens, that leaves them feeling well cared for, including but not limited to:

  • Consistently exceptional customer service
  • Strong long-term relationship-building
  • Following the Common Citizen advisor protocol
  • Providing problem-solving sales assistance, including upselling & cross-selling when it is to your fellow citizens benefit
  • Generating references, referrals & repeat visits
  • Simple math & data entry
  • POS system entries
  • Working with fulfillment
  • Regulatory compliance (ie. LARA. Metrc)

Staying current with cannabis knowledge in order to educate & serve with excellence, including:

  • Cannabis plant and product form knowledge
  • The Common Citizen product offerings
  • Use active selling skills during guest engagements
  • Enhance selling skills through practice and roleplay
  • Hosting or participating in educational events, onsite & offsite

The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:

  • Problem solving skills.
  • This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast paced and lively work environment.
  • Familiarity of ordering platforms (Dutchie, Weedmaps, etc) and POS systems.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a customer service role in a retail environment.
  • Personal or professional experience with cannabis preferred - although not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand for entire shift.
  • Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
