About Elire
Elire LLC is a growing consulting firm that helps organizations modernize and optimize their enterprise systems and business processes. For nearly 20 years, we have partnered with clients across many industries to deliver practical, high-quality solutions spanning PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud, Treasury, ERP, HCM, EPM, and managed services. Our teams are collaborative, hands-on, and solution-oriented, working as trusted partners throughout implementations, enhancements, support initiatives, and long-term transformation programs.
Position Overview
Elire is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Thread Lead - PeopleSoft HCM to support a large-scale, multi-pillar international PeopleSoft implementation. This is not a traditional project management role - we are looking for a seasoned HCM professional who has come up through the suite, deep in Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, or Talent, and has evolved into delivery leadership. You know what good HCM implementation looks like, and what it looks like when it is about to go wrong.
You will serve as both the functional thread lead and project manager for the HCM workstream on a multi-year international program - accountable for team delivery, client relationships, and keeping the workstream aligned with overall program objectives. You will work closely with the Program Manager, other thread leads, and client HR leadership throughout the engagement.
Key Responsibilities
HCM Thread Leadership & Delivery
Serve as the primary thread lead and subject matter expert for PeopleSoft HCM across all project phases
Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of HCM modules including Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Absence Management, Talent Acquisition, and related components
Identify risks and complexity within the HCM workstream early, drive proactive resolution, and ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices across all HCM deliverables
Drive workstream planning, milestone execution, and day-to-day delivery activities across the HR thread
Project Management & Coordination
Manage the HCM workstream as a dedicated project manager, owning scope, schedule, resource coordination, risks, and issues
Coordinate with the Program Manager and other thread leads - Financials, ELM, EPM - to maintain cross-pillar alignment
Facilitate workstream status reviews, planning sessions, and client milestone meetings, managing dependencies and integration points between HCM and other program workstreams
Maintain structured documentation, decision logs, and action tracking throughout the engagement
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the trusted HCM advisor and primary point of contact for client HR stakeholders on the workstream
Lead functional workshops, design sessions, and solution reviews with client HR and People Operations leadership
Communicate workstream status, risks, and key decisions clearly to both client leadership and the Program Manager, building credibility through deep functional knowledge and reliable delivery
Team Leadership & Mentorship
Lead, mentor, and coach HCM team members through all phases of the implementation, building functional problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment across the program
Required Qualifications
10+ years of PeopleSoft HCM consulting and implementation experience
Deep hands-on functional expertise across core HCM modules (Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, Talent, or equivalent); familiarity with ELM, EPM, or broader Oracle HCM Cloud a plus
Proven experience leading a project workstream on a large-scale PeopleSoft implementation, ideally as an HCM functional consultant who has grown into a delivery leadership role
Strong ability to translate complex HCM functional topics into clear direction for teams and stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to identify risks early and drive proactive issue resolution
Experience on complex, multi-pillar enterprise implementations across the full project lifecycle - fit-gap, design, configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live
Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship management skills
Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis for extended project durations; experience on international or multi-country programs preferred
Why Join Elire
Play a defining role on one a large-scale PeopleSoft program
Operate in a high-visibility leadership role on a multi-year, multi-pillar global engagement, partnering with an experienced program leadership team
Competitive compensation, bonus opportunities, Unlimited PTO, 401(k) match, medical, dental, and additional benefits
Clear path for long-term growth and expanded responsibilities within a scaling practice
If you are a PeopleSoft HCM expert who has grown into a delivery leader - someone who knows the modules deeply, leads teams with confidence, and earns client trust through expertise and accountability - we want to hear from you.
