Job description

Our client is looking for a hands-on, detailed-oriented Hardware Test Engineer to support product manufacturing and testing. This role involves setup, testing, and troubleshooting hardware down to the subsystem level requiring strong electronics knowledge and flexibility to work in labs, test facilities, and field locations.
Key qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in hardware diagnostics, repair, or technical support.
  • Strong grasp of electrical theory and troubleshooting.
  • Experience debugging electronics at board/system level.
  • Proficiency with lab tools (multimeters and oscilloscopes).
  • Ability to read schematics and mechanical CAD drawings.
  • Ability to assemble prototype systems and cable harnesses from drawings.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support across engineering and non-technical teams.
  • Triage and debug hardware issues at system, sub-system, and component levels.
  • Analyze field failures and identify root causes.
  • Troubleshoot PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly), Surface Mount Technology (SMT), and Integrated Circuits (ICs) related issues.
  • Execute test plans, perform repairs, and document findings.
Good to have:
  • Soldering and hot air rework proficiency.
  • Familiarity with Python or LabView scripting.
  • Experience with Linux command line.
