Job description

Summary of Position
The Manager, Global Business Development & Growth will support the identification, evaluation, and execution of incremental revenue opportunities across Lionsgate's global distribution business. This role requires a highly analytical, curious, and proactive individual who can translate market insights into actionable opportunities within the digital video-on-demand (VOD) ecosystem.
The works cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners-including OTT platforms, networks, studios, and emerging media companies-to help advance strategic initiatives, support licensing efforts, and contribute to new business development opportunities.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal teams to vet new business & partnership opportunities and interface with external partners to ensure execution
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies, distribution platforms, new platforms, and content formats to identify potential growth opportunities
  • Partner with AI team to evaluate key AI platforms and vendors, with an emphasis on content creation
  • Assist in evaluating new revenue streams tied to Lionsgate's content library and new productions
  • Contribute to partnership discussions by preparing materials, analyses, and recommendations
  • Partner with internal teams (Global Strategy, Motion Pictures, TV Distribution, LGTV, 3 Arts, etc.) to support digital-first content and distribution initiatives, including creator-led projects
  • Coordinate with marketing, legal, finance, sales planning, and licensing teams to help facilitate deal execution
  • Manage workstreams for new and existing business development initiatives, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
  • Track progress of key initiatives and provide regular status updates to leadership
  • Build detailed market overviews, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions
  • Partner with FP&A team to build financial models and business cases to evaluate new opportunities
  • Assist in managing relationships with select external partners by supporting communications, updates, and ongoing collaboration
  • Prepare presentations and materials for internal leadership reviews
  • Analyze performance of new initiatives and present findings and recommendations to senior team members
  • Support preparation of materials for leadership meetings and special projects

Qualifications and Skills
  • Approximately 4-5 years of experience in business development, strategy, consulting, or content licensing within media, entertainment, or digital platforms
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience manipulating dashboards to drive strategy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and leverage professional relationships
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Additional Requirements
This position requires five (5) days per week in office.
