Overview
The Publicis Groupe Business Development team is charged with bringing together the Groupe's marketing and digital business transformation offerings across creativity, media, data and technology, to drive business growth.
As the Director within the Global Business Development Operations team, you will lead and drive operational workstreams to support our global business development efforts. This position involves operational strategic oversight, process improvement, and cross regional coordination to ensure our pitches are executed efficiently. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong background in business development operations, capable of managing complex projects and driving innovation and efficiency within the team.
Responsibilities
Pitch Management and Execution
  • Lead the completion of RFIs, sourcing and populating data, and working with markets for bespoke data needs to deliver high-quality responses.
  • Support the completion of RFPs by sourcing and repurposing relevant content, formatting, and proofreading.
  • Manage pitches throughout their full lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes, including:
    • Setting up pitch folders and Teams channels
    • Creating timing/project plans
    • Diarising key meetings
    • Managing workstreams
    • Supporting content development and proofreading
    • Overseeing logistics and close-out processes
  • Support the Head of Pitch Experience with execution of pitch theatre and technical meeting room setup.
  • Collaborate with Pitch Experience Leads to plan and execute meeting scenarios (virtual, hybrid, and in-person).
  • Assist Business Development leads with the creation of presentation content and formatting of slides.

Operational Oversight and Process Enhancement
  • Provide leadership and drive the pitch process, ensuring best practices and consistency across regions.
  • Identify, propose, and implement new collaboration tools to improve team efficiency.
  • Advocate for and integrate AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) into pitch workstreams where appropriate (e.g., image sourcing, writing biographies).
  • Capture learnings from pitches and projects to drive continuous improvement for operations and the wider Global BD team.

Data Management and Reporting
  • Use Monday.com to log active pipeline and capture key milestones for resource planning.
  • Work closely with the reporting team to manage Salesforce records, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Maintain and secure Business Development folders, managing permissions to protect confidential data.
  • Oversee market and competitor research using sources such as COMvergence, RECMA, and other third-party inputs.
  • Facilitate post-pitch processes, ensuring thorough documentation of learnings and resource sharing.
  • Support upkeep of the Global Business Development hub, refreshing and adding content.

Collaboration and Relationship Building
  • Partner with Design teams and pitch leads to develop high-quality pitch collateral and ensure consistent execution across markets.
  • Manage workstreams to help design prioritization based on client deliverables and ensure correct templates, logos, and fonts are used.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Business Development community and local markets.
  • Identify topics for monthly team connects to support knowledge building and team development.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in advertising (Media, Creative, or Production) or a comparable operational role
  • Proven project management expertise with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and to a high standard
  • Process-driven mindset focused on continuous improvement
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
  • Quick learner with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Confidence in driving process improvements and new ways of working
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
