Job description

Bookkeeper – Small Wholesale Company

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our growing wholesale business. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience, proficiency with NetSuite ERP, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor statements.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Generate invoices, apply customer payments, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Process vendor payments and maintain vendor records.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage inventory-related accounting transactions and reconcile inventory records.
  • Calculate and remit sales tax and assist with tax documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records in NetSuite and ensure data integrity.
  • Support payroll processing and maintain employee records, as needed.
  • Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with external accountants during audits and tax preparation.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a wholesale, distribution, or inventory-based business.
  • Hands-on experience using NetSuite ERP.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
