POSITION SUMMARY
JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides excellent guest service to hotel guests during registration, check out and during their stay.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Performs all functions necessary for registration and assignment of rooms.
  2. Checks out Guests and receives all room payments.
  3. Maintains all related records.
  4. Receives and directs phone calls and messages.
  5. Accepts reservations, administers wake up calls.
  6. Pages Guests upon request.
  7. Communicate with Housekeeping on check outs.
  8. Prints hotel backup reports.
  9. Complete cashier close-out process.
  10. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
  11. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
  12. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  13. Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
  14. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
  15. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Ability to operate a computer keyboard.
  2. Ability to handle and count cash.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Physically capable of standing, sitting and walking for long periods of time.
  2. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  3. Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Education Required: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: Six months to one year related experience
Computer Skills: Must have computer skills
Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
