Summary:

The New York Mets are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and service-oriented Coordinator, Game Day Events & Activations to support the planning and execution of fan-facing events, hospitality initiatives, and game day activations at Citi Field. Reporting to the Manager, Promotions & Game Day Events, this role serves as a key operational partner in delivering engaging, seamless, and memorable experiences for fans, guests, alumni, and internal stakeholders.

The Coordinator will assist across all aspects of Game Day Events operations - from pregame ceremonies and theme nights to VIP hospitality logistics and large-scale fan activations - while helping maintain the department's commitment to operational excellence and best-in-class service. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced live-event environments, communicates effectively across departments, and brings strong attention to detail to every stage of event execution. The Coordinator, Game Day Events & Activations plays an essential role in bringing the Citi Field experience to life. By supporting the execution of fan-facing events, hospitality initiatives, and game-day activations, this position helps create memorable moments that strengthen fan engagement and reflect the energy, creativity, and service standards of the New York Mets organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Game Day Events & Fan Activations

  • Support the planning and execution of fan-facing initiatives including Theme Nights, Block Parties, Family Sundays, ceremonial moments, hospitality activations, and other special events

  • Coordinate event logistics including timelines, run-of-show documents, staffing sheets, credentialing, guest lists, and operational summaries

  • Assist with on-field and in-ballpark activations, ensuring smooth communication and execution across departments

  • Coordinate hospitality arrangements, travel logistics, itineraries, and guest experience details for alumni, honorees, VIPs, and special guests

  • Support game-day setup, execution, and breakdown of events and activations throughout Citi Field

  • Serve as an on-site operational lead for select event elements, helping troubleshoot issues and maintain execution standards in real time

  • Assist with staffing coordination and day-of-event task delegation for seasonal staff and support personnel

  • Coordinate with vendors, entertainment partners, and internal stakeholders to support successful event execution

Operational Coordination & Department Support

  • Maintain detailed planning trackers, calendars, timelines, and departmental documents to ensure projects remain on schedule

  • Prepare meeting agendas, recap notes, and post-event summaries for internal stakeholders

  • Attend interdepartmental planning meetings and help drive follow-up communication and action items

  • Assist with department scheduling, administrative organization, and project coordination as assigned

  • Support post-event reporting, recap presentations, and internal documentation related to fan engagement initiatives

  • Maintain organized digital filing systems, event archives, and operational records

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Hospitality, Event Management, Communications, or related field preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience in live events, sports, hospitality, entertainment, or related industry

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, live-event environment

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and all Mets home games as required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management and event-planning software is a plus
