Job description

We are RCX Sports, the leader in youth sports experiences and events. While diverse in our offerings, we are the official licensee and operating partner of NFL FLAG, Jr. NBA Leagues, NHL Street Hockey, MLS GO, and MLB Pitch Hit and Run. At RCX Sports we are committed to improving the accessibility and inclusivity of sports by enhancing the youth sports experience and creating opportunities for all athletes to play. By partnering with premier sports brands, professional leagues and businesses, RCX works to equip local youth sports leagues with the resources, training and tools they need in order to thrive.
What you'll do
  • Oversee game day operations across multiple youth sports programs throughout the year, including NFL FLAG, NHL STREET, MLS GO, and NBA/WNBA Jr. Leagues
  • Support sport-specific game day operations including set-up and break down of league booths and fields/courts, and handle game situations involving coaches, players, parents/guardians, and officials
  • Establish relationships with coaches and officials, and fill in as a coach or official as needed
  • Prepare official's scorecards, sell mouth guards, and meet and greet customers at the field
  • Communicate with supervisor throughout week, attend weekly Game Day Rep meetings at night and submit Weekend League Review (scores, events of the day, etc.)
  • Communicate with supervisor throughout day via phone with internet access
  • Respectfully resolve conflicts and address concerns and questions from customers appropriately
  • Regularly attend coaches' meetings, staff trainings, weekly meetings with supervisor

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Customer service-oriented personality
  • Problem-solving skills and conflict resolution experience
  • Enthusiastic approach and a passion for youth sports

More about the role
  • Work Schedule: Varies by sport/program and season; typically weekends and/or select weekdays during the duration of each season
  • Compensation: Starting hourly rate: $18/hour. Eligible for an annual increase amount of $1/hour up to $25/hour
  • Opportunity to return for following league season and earn seasonal pay increases with good performance
  • Training provided by RCX Sports, no prior sports industry experience required
