Job description

This internship offers a dynamic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of sports event operations. As a Game Day Operations Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and exciting experience for fans, teams, and staff. This is an excellent opportunity to develop valuable skills in event management, logistics, and customer service within a professional sports environment. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual eager to contribute to our game day success.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with pre-game, in-game, and post-game event setup and breakdown.
  • Prepare the venue, including signage, promotional materials, and fan engagement areas.
  • Welcome and direct fans, sponsors, vendors, and special guests, providing excellent customer service.
  • Help coordinate halftime entertainment, contests, and on-court promotions.
  • Distribute promotional giveaways and assist with ticketing when needed.
  • Support game officials, team staff, and volunteers throughout the event.
  • Monitor fan areas to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and organized game-day environment.
  • Assist with sponsor activations and community outreach activities during games.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content for social media when requested.
  • Perform other game-day duties as assigned by team management.

Qualifications:

Position Details:
  • Type: Internship / Part-Time (Academic Credit)
  • Schedule: Weekdays as needed, Evenings and weekends required; based on athletic event schedule.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long hours, walk throughout large venues, and lift items up to 30 pounds.
