Game Day Staff are everywhere the action is happening, welcoming fans, helping groups and special guests, supporting giveaways, assisting with intermission activities and helping bring our in-game promotions to life. POSITION OVERVIEW
Game Day Staff support the execution of Athens Rock Lobsters home games and contribute to a positive, organized and engaging experience for fans and guests. This position performs a variety of event-day functions, including providing fan information and assistance, supporting group experiences, facilitating promotional and intermission activities, distributing promotional materials and assisting with other game operations needs. Team members work collaboratively with front-office staff to help ensure game-day activities are executed safely and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fan Information & Assistance: Staff information booths, greet fans upon entrance, provide directions, and answer arena/game-related questions.
  • Group Escorts & Hospitality: Meet incoming youth groups, high-five tunnel participants, intermission youth teams, and birthday parties; guide them to designated seating or staging areas.
  • On-Ice & Intermission Activations: Assist the promo team with setting up intermission games, prop deployment, contestant selection, and on-ice contest execution.
  • Promotional Giveaways: Hand out gate giveaways, pocket schedules, and promotional materials at arena entrances.
  • Overall Operations Support: Work collaboratively with front-office leaders to ensure all promotional elements run smoothly and safely.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Outgoing, energetic, and welcoming personality with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and navigate arena stairs for 4-5 hours per shift.
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in high-energy, noisy sports crowd environments.
  • Must be available to work home games (primarily Thursday through Sunday evenings).
